So, should we try to come up with a system this year?

Well, I don't know if I'm right here exactly, but maybe we should get a sort of schedule going so that we know what we're going to do this year and have it all perfectly planned? I think that's probably for the best. Do I have a good idea or should we just take it as it goes this year?

I think it would be a good idea to come up for plans for the month (i.e. what will happen culture day, what 2 anime will be shown, and what game will be brought in, what type of snacks we will have and who brings them, etc.) should be planned a month in advance by the leaders. That way, no one has to scramble last-minute for ideas and things.

Also, if you do that, keep it in a three-ring binder and lay it out for the members to see each club meeting so the members can decide in advance if they even want to attend that week. That way, you save time and effort, along with controlling how rambunctious it can get. For the people who don't want to participate in a particular event can just not come instead of being embarassed when you kick them out (<-- that's just an example).

It sounds good and I want to do something like that, but I hope the other leaders feel the same. I'll see what the others say, but I really want to do it... I'm getting pretty tired of people asking me what we're going to do in club. That gets annoying...fast...I also think that gaming days are fun, but it shouldn't be just video games, maybe? Don't get me wrong; I love videogames. What I'm saying though, is that maybe we should try other games, like Shogi, Go, anime Jeopardy or anime Bingo. We could buy a real Shogi or Go board and make copies with laminated paper. There isn't a large amount of anime videogames and a lot of people don't actually participate when we play them, so...I don't get a very high success rating...but if we tried something new, it would refresh the experience! I think everyone would like it so much better! Everyone seems to like culture weeks a lot because they're hands-on! If we can incorporate that into gaming, almost like intigrating culture and gaming together with Shogi and Go, then we could have much higher approval ratings!

When you plan too much, it never turns out right because you think you have every detail down. When it comes to this club, if it can go wrong, it probably already has.

Can't disagree there. I suppose you're right...I just wanted to make the place a little less freshman-like...You know what I mean? They're all pretty nice, but I feel like they're just a bit too rambunctious this year...I feel old now for saying that...but...I don't know...maybe that's just how it'll be? I still retain the thought that perhaps on gaming day, it wouldn't just be my Wii because not everyone knows how to play or wants to learn. I want everyone to participate and enjoy themselves...I just want to incoporate a little more game in gaming day...Does that make sense? I'm not sure it does, but I still want to try it...

Gaming day needs a makeover. My memory cards are gone so I can't bring in anything for the PS2, which is ridiculous.

Not that many people can play the PS2 at one time anyway so that's not a big loss (However, I could bring mine in if it is necessary).

And having plans ruins nothing. Knowing what your going to do each week allows people to know what their bringing in, that's pretty much it. That way, no one will scramble at the last minute for something to do (thinking back to last week - -').

Knowing what's happening for the week won't interfer with how the club will run because you won't be expecting anything from anyone other than the person organizing the event and the 1 or 2 back-up's that you'll have (again, thinking back to last week; Thank you, Hobo!!!)

I'm not saying that planning ruins everything, I'm saying that over planning kind of takes the fun out. And I have a short term memory so I forget to have them pick anime some times >.>
